Pınar Balat and Igor Sladoljev launch their new company, Foreign House

In December 2025, Pinar and Igor launched their new company, Foreign House, dedicated to advancing spatial justice in cities. At Foreign House, they develop urban strategies and digital tools based on trans-disciplinary research, aimed at opening up new ways to imagine, shape and inhabit the just city.

This starts a new chapter in their shared practice as urbanists and researchers. This step doesn’t just consolidate the work they have been doing over the past years. It also sets the course for how they want to work in the years ahead, what they hope to contribute to the world, and what they want to offer to the profession.
